Ramadan 2011
Ramadan is expected to begin on August 1, 2011. Although this is before classes officially start, we still have a host of campus Ramadan activities! Starting August 22, we'll have daily Iftars with Halal meat in Battell Chapel (corner of College & Elm streets). Our activities are open to students, staff, and faculty, so please join us!
For those without access to kitchens in the morning, Omer Bajwa has prepared free “Suhoor packets” that will be available daily outside his office (in the Chaplain’s Office) in the Bingham Basement starting August 19.
For those that around campus before pre-orientation programs, please join us as we attend special Iftars on the West Haven Green (from August 17-21) that are organized by the Turkish Cultural Center of Connecticut.
